Overview

The William F. Ryan Community Health Network is a group of not-for-profit, federally qualified health centers that delivers high quality, affordable and comprehensive medical care to diverse and underserved communities. We are currently seeking a Patient Services Representative for our school based health centers at the following Manhattan locations:

 

  • PS 180, 370 W. 120th
  • Middle School 54, 103 W. 107th
  • West Side High School, 140 W. 102nd
  • PS 11, 320 W. 21st

The position will rotate on a weekly basis from school to school. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 8AM-4PM.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for handling front office functions associated with patient processing and insurance processing, such as checking patients in and out, collecting copays, verifying insurance coverage, scheduling appointments, updating patient information in electronic health record system, among other duties. This position has heavy patient interaction.

Qualifications

Requirements include:

 

  • Experience in front office healthcare environment.
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Health Record systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
