    Position Overview:

    Under the direction of the Clinical Care Coordinator, the Assistant Coordinator of Support Services will manage and promote the “Undetectables” Program, provide day-to-day supervision of the Center’s Case Management services, assist with the Center’s HIV and Prep/PEP services, and support the Center’s outreach as pertaining to grant funded programs. He/She will be responsible for the “Undetectables” program implementation, coordination with both clinical and administrative aspects of the program, data collection, management and distribution of incentives, marketing, and promotion. He/She will also support the Center’s Special Projects department with patient educational programming and outreach events. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Ryan Network.





    Essential Functions: 


    Management, Supervision and Development.

    1. Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating department personnel.
    2. Assist the Prevention and Outreach Coordinator in the management of all aspects of service delivery, including development, implementation and evaluation/assessment of outreach, education and support service strategies to address the needs and concerns of targeted populations.
    3. Provide support and guidance to Case Management staff to assure that they meet recognized standards for delivery of services, professionalism and productivity.
    4. Manage the enrollment, clinical data, eligibility, inventory, and distribution of incentives given to patients who are part of the “Undetectables” program.
    5. Conduct promotion and patient recruitment for the Center’s Case Management and PrEP/PEP services, in collaboration with the Ryan Network’s Prevention, Education, & Outreach (PEO) team, in venues/locations/neighborhoods where high-risk negative (HRN) individuals convene, with a focus on young men who have sex with men (YMSM).
    6. Under the supervision of the Prevention and Outreach Coordinator, provide educational training about Center programs for both clinical and non-clinical staff, including but not limited to, the delivery of staff presentations, development of curricula and training materials, and adaptation and modification of prepackaged health education materials related to the “Undetectables” Program.
    7. Ensure the timely completion of all program-related data entry and reports via the use of AIRS, eSHARE, and other electronic databases.


    Outreach and Promotion

    1. Create new and updates existing Ryan health education literature, brochures and displays.  Assist in the development of abstracts for presentations at conferences and other networking venues for the promotion of Ryan programs.
    2. Conduct HIV Testing utilizing all available testing methods.
    3. Develop and implement the “Undetectables” marketing strategies with the Network’s Social Medical Coordinator, External Affairs staff, and offsite vendors.
    4. Develop relationships with staff at various agencies in the community, including but not limited to, the participation in appropriate and relevant organizations and activities, and representation of the Ryan Network at forums, conferences, and symposia.


    Policies, Procedures, & Compliance

    1. Attend required meetings, case conference and supervision, as assigned.
    2. Practice infection control measures in accordance with OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standards
    3. Immediately report any problems or unusual occurrences to supervisor.
    4. Special projects and other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Experience and Skills Required:

    1. Two (2) years of relevant experience working in HIV treatment, prevention, and/or Case Management programs and working with Ryan’s targeted populations (High Risk HIV negative individuals (HRN) and/or people living with HIV).
    2. One (1) year of supervisory experience.
    3. In-depth knowledge of HIV disease prevention and treatment, specifically as related to Ryan’s targeted populations (HRN and/or people living with HIV).
    4. Effective communication and writing skills. 
    5. Excellent problem solver with a demonstrated history of process improvement.
    6. Proven track record of organization, attention to detail and ability to respond promptly to requests, anticipate organizational needs, and maintain efficient office operations.
    7. Strong computer literacy with proficiency in standard office software/hardware such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.


    Education, Licenses and/or Certification Required:     

    Bachelor’s Degree in public health, human services, or related field.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    1. Master’s Degree in public health, human services, or related field.
    2. Program management experience.
    3. HIV Counseling and Testing Certification.
    4. NYS driver’s license.
    5. Bilingual: English/Spanish.
